Merax JK1603E may come across as a simple treadmill, but all of that changes once you step closer. Looking at the frame we see that it is not very usual in its nature. Whereas most other brands have a single vertical and single horizontal component, Merax went with a more complicated approach. The belt and drive system sit sandwiched between two thick tubes. Those are bolted into the vertical frame. However, this whole element is lifted from the ground. This is because Merax JK1603E features a manual incline system. In the back of the belt surface, you will see adjustable stands that can be moved to offer three different incline angles. Overall, the treadmill is very stable and secure when used. Moving on to the belt and motor, we see a 44″ by 14″ belt that is one of the larger ones on the market. The motor is a 500Wat unit, which equates to less than 1 HP. This limits the whole treadmill to a point. As expected, JK1603E can be folded for easier storage.
