Marcy JX650W may come across like a fairly basic treadmill, but it definitely isn’t. In our opinion, it is one of the best treadmills you can get for $500 or less. For the most part, Marcy has focused on the core features and components when they designed JX650W. Covering the basics is generally a good way to attract users and provide them with a rock solid product. Here’s what you can expect to see if you choose to go with Marcy JX650W.
One way to describe Marcy JX650W’s design would be to say that it is functional, clean and focused on performance. The frame they have used for this model is made of rather thick metal tubing, especially in the vertical segments. Since it is a folding model, there isa subframe under the running surface that allows you to wheel the treadmill into storage when you are done with your exercise. Speaking of the running surface, Marcy went with a 47.2″ by 16.5″ belt that sits on a number of shock absorbers. We will get into those a bit later. The control module features a beefy plastic enclosure that comes with two cup holders on each side. What is missing is a media shelf. Fortunately enough, those cup holders are pretty square in nature, allowing you to put your phone in there during workout. While it’s not a perfect solution, at least you can listen to your music while running.
