It isn’t often that we find a treadmill that checks all the right boxes right off the bat. Usually there is something significant that we can’t agree with. Nautilus T614 doesn’t have such problems. For all intents and purposes, this is one of the most capable treadmills you can get for $1000 or less right now. The goal of this review is to show you exactly what kind of performance you can expect from this setup. Lets get right to it.
Whether or not Nautilus T614 is aesthetically pleasing is in the eye of the beholder. What is certain is that this thing is engineered in a way that leaves very little to chance. We are talking a very, very robust frame setup with plenty of structural supports all over the place. Running surface comes in form of a 55″ by 20″ belt that sits on top of their advanced cushioning system. This system is easily one of the best in this price range and maybe even one price range higher. What is really impressive is the fact that Nautilus T614 folds up very easily. Since it is a heavy treadmill, unfolding it may be the trickier part. This is why Nautilus implemented their SoftDrop technology which makes this task both safe and easy. No matter how you look at this thing it screams reliability. In our opinion it might even be a bit over engineered. However, that can only be a good thing.
The main reason why we like this treadmill so much can be found when you look under its hood. Where most brands out there put 2 hp motors to drive the whole thing, Nautilus went with a 2.75 hp unit. On top of that you have 12% of motorized incline to play with. Having such a robust motor means that you can stay at higher speeds much longer as well as reach much higher speeds. Their 2.75 hp gets you roughly 12 mph max speed. Other features include USB and Bluetooth support which allows you to export your progress to various online fitness tracking services. Additionally there are 22 programs to choose from, 2 user profiles and so much more. Nautilus focused mostly on the practical aspects of this treadmill, that much is obvious. LCD display that comes with this model may be a bit small compared to some of its competitors, but it doesn’t affect navigation nor tracking of various parameters.
To say that Nautilus T614 is a capable treadmill would be a serious understatement. They have built this thing to be used every day under full load. While it certainly has a few quirks, we have failed to find anything that would lead us to put this thing on our black list. On the contrary, Nautilus T614 ticks all the right boxes in our book. If you need something that packs a bit more juice than average and has all kinds of bells and whistles,Nautilus T614 is what you are looking for. This model doesn’t disappoint, that’s for sure.
