Ellipticals come in a variety of different shapes and forms. That is partially why they are so loved in the fitness world. That kind of diversity isn’t only reserved for higher end machines either. You can find some fairly versatile models in the budget segment as well. One that we would like to show you today comes from Plasma Fit. It is an awesome model which promises to be one of the best budget ellipticals on the market at the moment. Lets take a closer look and see what it has to offer.
Plasma Fit Elliptical features a fairly familiar design. We have the same H pattern frame, the same mechanism housing and arm workout bars. However, there are some additions which don’t fit that classic description. Before we get to those, lets take a look at the frame. Plasma Fit has used a fairly standard H pattern frame as the basis of this machine. However, they have added a few reinforcements here and there, which definitely help improve the overall stability and structural integrity of the device. Tubing used for both the frame and the rest of the components is made out of quality steel. All of the welds look pretty decent, which leads us to believe that Plasma Fit Elliptical could provide challenging workouts for a long time. In terms of weight and size, this model comes in as average for the most part. It is light enough to maneuver around for storage while its size isn’t necessarily too cumbersome.
When we look at the list of features, things become a bit more interesting. First and foremost, there is a seat installed on the mechanism housing. That is right, you can actually sit down if you feel like it and still enjoy all of the benefits of this elliptical. The seat is fully adjustable and fairly comfortable all things considered. Another cool feature is the central display unit which sits up high between arm workout levers. This is also where the heart rate monitors are mounted. The way Plasma Fit has designed this whole machine makes it easy to access all of these features whether you are standing up or sitting down. When it comes to pedals, the length of stride is 11″. That isn’t optimal but it work just fine. You can adjust the tension by manipulating a knob which is built into the frame of the bike. Much like other models in this particular price range, there aren’t any numerical values on the tension knob. Instead, you will have to gauge the tension by feel. That display unit we have mentioned shows you all of the relevant data as you work out.
What Plasma Fit Elliptical brings to the table is very interesting. It is multi-functional trainer that is rather forgiving towards those who are just starting out as well as those who may not be able to stand for long periods of time. While that may be a turn off for those who want a pure elliptical experience, keep in mind that Plasma Fit Elliptical brings some pretty advanced features which aren’t always found in this particular price range. Overall, we see it as one of the best bang for the buck models you can find without spending too much money.
